Georges Gold Mine

George's Gold Mine is set in beautiful forest countryside of the Eastern Dorrigo region.

The pleasant drive to George's from Coramba is through lush rainforests and the climb up and along the ridge offers some spectacular views over parts of the Orara Valley. Once at the mine you can venture into the remaining rainforest on the property and experience the inner atmosphere amongst tall forest trees and twisting, climbing vines.

The Gold Mine suggests all kinds of historical experiences like an amazing tour through a tunnel of the Bayfield Gold Mine where you will find a real vein of gold-bearing quartz. There are 5 shaft mines and an original stamper battery that could show gold when George puts through quartz taken from the mine.

A pioneer house and barn can be inspected along with old steam engines that fascinate almost everybody. Picnic areas, BBQ's and food are available.
